Review on Municipal solid waste collection of Bhopal city

Solid Waste Management is one among the basic essential services provided by Bhopal Municipal Corporation to keep the city of twin lakes clean. However it is among the most poorly rendered services, the reasons of which have been discussed in the present study and the remedial measures have been suggested. The administrative body, the Bhopal Municipal Corporation has failed to redress the growing problems of waste and sanitation with its poor infrastructural facilities and apparent mismanagement. With rapid growth in urbanization of Bhopal city, the situation is becoming critical over the years. The present study has thrown light over the areas where improvement can be done.
