THE REVIEW OF SOFTWARE USED IN SOCIOLOGICAL RESEARCH

The present article is devoted to the analysis of software that can be used in professional activity of a sociologist in research, in the process of processing large amounts of information, to take into account a large number of factors, to formulate a meaningful and valid conclusions. It was the classification of the software on professional packages, which includes a large set of data analysis methods, and popular packages that have a wide distribution, but limited set of functions. Describes the purpose and main features of software products such as MS Excel, MS Access, Vortex, IP sociologist, SPSS, STATISTICA and MATLAB. Were given the recommenda- tions on the use of a software product used to solve different types of tasks
