THE MAIN PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS OF DEVELOPMENT OF RETAIL CREDITING IN RUSSIA

This article considers the development of the consumer lending for popula- tion and individual entrepreneurs in the economic crisis. It also uncovers main problems in this area, and investigates ways of solving issues, which promote banking business improve- ment for the provision of loans to individuals and small businesses. Negative reasons in retail lending are specifi ed. Ways of improvement the fi nancial literacy of the population are shown. The effective directions of increasing the volume of lending to the population and ways to minimize credit risks are identifi ed. Author also analyzed individual state programs of sup- porting individual entrepreneurs, including the territory of priority development (TPD) in the Far Eastern Federal District.
