Abstract
The technological investment done by Private Banks especially in installing cash dispensing machines, i.e. ATMs in India, had also forced public sector banks to update themselves, as their competitors; gone are the days when people used to stand in queues at Banks, with the advent of ATMs machine, customers can operate even from a remote location from their parent branch. Private banks became the cynosure of households by introducing a system which was safer, better and faster for transactions, here in this paper the authors tries to examine the efficiency of ATMs offered by the private sector banks at Allahabad.
