Abstract

Meliorative state of the irrigation system is largely determined by the water regime of irrigated lands. In its turn, the water regime of land depends on the regime in irrigated crops. The significance of this problem for rice irrigation system increases as the intensity of the ameliorative effects on irrigated land is much higher than conventional irrigation system, where there are cultivated upland crops. The novelty of the research work is to determine the optimum depth of flooded rice checks in order to ensure normal physiological growth and development of rice plants, while maintaining a favorable salt and thermal regime of soil and water.
