The ancient custom of hospitality as a social act is an appointment, the contact with "others", and in linguistic and cognitive perspective ? the dialogue and exchange of information. This socially significant event involves two role of actant ? the landlord, on the one hand, and on the other hand. The semantics of a word are initially marked un hôte complex motivation: on the one hand, this refers to a person (stranger, enemy), on the other, the one who provides hospitality, i.e. the owner of the house. Cognitive dissonance inherent historically in the word hôte, reproduced in the hospitalité and concepts hostilité
