The article discusses one of the most urgent problems of modern society ? the number of orphans and children left without parental care. The authors determine the factors causing psychological and educational dep- rivation among children, the risk factors that violate their socialization and personal development. Defines the role of socio-pedagogical work used in the practice of a social worker.
