Abstract

The paper dwells upon a new phenomenon in the English grammar ? contaminated comparative constructions. The recent changes in the previously described constructions are analyzed and described by means of formulas. The existing definitions of the term “contamination” are compared. The research is based on the material of modern colloquial and idiomatic dictionaries.
