Abstract
In this article the diversity of religion manifestations in modern Russia caused by existence of its different semantic aspects is considered. Characteristics of religious consciousness and behavior are given, the conditions influencing the level and degree of religiousness are described. The religion role in Russian society is determined, it was found that religious interaction have important social functions.
