Abstract

In the given article it is proved that abstracting is the most effective method of research competence formation at students of language specialties because the students’ vocabulary expands with terms and constructions of scientific style, adjustment for the semantic analysis of the original text contents is realized, skills of independent work with scientific literature are developed. As reasons the four-stage model of research competence formation at students of linguistic specialties according to the developed principles is provided.
