COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF CONSERVATIVE TREATMENT OF COLLES FRACTURE

The article deals with the analysis of close and late results of conservative treatment of Colles fracture. The aim of the article is to compare clinical, roentgenologic and functional results of conservative treatment of Colles fracture by common method and using the author’s method “Prevention of rotational brachium contracture after Colles fracture” patented in the Russian Federation. It is determined that conservative treatment of Colles fracture, comprising closed manual reposition and further prolonged immobilization in plaster splints, does not lead to improvement of anatomical and functional treatment results. Conservative treatment of Colles fracture using the author’s method allows improving treatment results.
