INH INDUCED SEIZURES

Therapeutic dose of INH rarely causes seizures but may occasionally precipitate convulsions in patients with known epilepsy and sub clinical pyridoxine deficiency. Administration of toxic doses of INH causes intractable seizures, profound metabolic derangement, coma and even death.Here we present a young girl who presented with status epilepticus after consumption of toxic dose of INH and successfully treated with pyridoxine.
