Abstract

The paper discusses the basics of the oxygen pressure relaxation method to study the kinetics of oxygen interaction from the gas phase with oxide materials using the example of samarium?barium cobaltite with double perovskite structure at the range of the temperatures 600?800 ºС and the oxygen pressures 0.13?1.33 kPa. The values of the oxygen chemical exchange coefficient and the oxygen chemical diffusion coefficient obtained by the oxygen pressure relaxation method are compared with the values of the oxygen isotope exchange coefficient and the oxygen tracer diffusion coefficient previously determined by the isotope exchange method with the gas phase equilibration on the samples from the same batch.
