Abstract
Ad hoc networks are dynamic in nature due to the mobility of nodes. The routing in ad-hoc networks is a tedious process because of the link breakage between the mobile nodes. Clustering is the process of grouping the nodes into different groups known as clusters. A cluster head is a node present in the geographical region of the cluster and takes care of the routing and allocation of resources for the cluster members. Nodes that have registered with the cluster head become members of the cluster. The cluster heads form a dominant set in the network.
