Abstract

The topic addressed in this work is about human rights as a subject of education and seeks to raise awareness among public managers, educators and students in elementary schools and society in general, about how this subject can be beneficial to teaching for a formation of a thinker student, critical and knowledgeable of their rights and duties as a citizen. Thus, as it presented questioning the reasons for the importance of research on human rights in basic schools. Being that this search for an appropriate and insightful justification for the need for innovation in order to educate, thus leading to an education based on respect for the dignity and effectiveness of the National Plan for Human Rights Education - PNEDH. The methodology used was a qualitative approach, with the use of literature search, and the procedural approach was employed historical research, to understand the level which is the interaction between education and human rights in the world today; as the method of analysis was used to Dialectic. As a result of the literature search has the basic school needs and changes in their guidelines in the way of educating to really have effectiveness that theme so rich and comprehensive, they are human rights. In addition, major difficulties are encountered due to lack of disclosure and regulation of PNEDH
