Abstract

The article reveals the systematic and probabilistic components of goniometer errors, which are used for contactless measurement of the angles in different industries. Sources of errors are analyzed with the special focus on systematic error as the most predictable and compensated. This error is represented by a set of relevant components. This representation is appropriate because it allows error minimization through the development and formation of the relevant requirements and actions. The authors pointed out that the random component of the error of measurement by goniometer as opposed to systematic, fundamentally can not be eliminated. This is due to the combined action of the instrument and the measurement object of many random unrelated factors. The combined effect of these factors creates a noticeable deviations are continuously and randomly changed in magnitude and in deviation sign. Therefore, the evaluation of the random component of the error of measurement is carried out with the help of the theory of probability and mathematical statistics with repeated observations, which are not provided in this paper. Systematic error, according to the results of the preliminary analysis of the sources of its origin, is represented by a set of corresponding components. This representation is appropriate in terms of minimizing the possibility of providing it through the development and formation of the relevant requirements and activities.
