Abstract

Problem setting. A complex set of socio-economic relations focuses in this segment of economy management. These relations include: state power security, nuclear safety, the complex problem of nuclear fuel delivery and waste storage, the need for centralized management. Analysis of recent researches and publications. In general, economic and economic-legal policy has been researched by D. V. Zadihaylo, investment policy ? by V. I. Kuhar, V. V. Kudryavtseva, and innovative policy ? by Yu. E. Atamanova, A. N. Davidyuk and industry-specific policy ? by K. S. Pysmenna, A. V. Semenishin, V. M. Pashkov. Target of research: The aim of the article is to determine the economic and legal aspects of the state policy on the functioning of the nuclear power sector in the power system of Ukraine. Article’s main body. One of the main purposes of the national economic policy is the economic and legal support for the functioning of the power industry complex of Ukraine. This is determined by the place of the power industry in the national economy, as well as the high socio-economic value of the state power security in today’s globalized world. The export of electrical power becomes an important aspect of the power industry sector functioning. It can be considered as a separate form of Ukrainian economy participation in global division of labor. An important place in the power industry sector occupies a nuclear power. Conclusions and prospects for the development. Having analyzed the Law of Ukraine that regulates relations in the nuclear power field, we can conclude that nuclear power should be an object of power industry. There are a lot of questions on nuclear safety, the complex problems of nuclear fuel delivery and waste storage, the need for centralized management. And taking into account that this subcomplex should be cost-effective, it is necessary to adopt a separate strategy that will regulate these relationships.
