Abstract

107 strains were analyzed of different regions of Colombia of diarrheal out break of pediatric patient distributed as follow: 50 isolates of enteropatogenic Escherichia coli (ECEP), 44 of Salmonella sp and 13 of Shiguella spp . The serotipos gives isolated more frequent ECEP antimicrobial agents was corresponded at 0: 111, 0: 127, 0: 124, 0: 55, and 0: 119. The susceptibility to the antimicrobianos carried out by using Bauer and Kirby method. The results showed that the strains of give ECEP were resistant to ampicilina, trimetroprin-sulfametoxazole and tetracycline. The strains of Salmonella spp were resistant to all of the antimicrobial including chloramphenicol, the strains of Shiguella spp showed only susceptibility to furazolidon. The plasmid analysis demonstrated that all the strains of ECEP presented plasmid with molecular weights between 4.2 and 21.2 Kb. In the strains of Salmonella spp 2 profiles they were observed with 1 and 4 plasmid of molecular weights between 1.6 and 21.2 Kb. In the strains of Shigella spp 3 profiles were observed with 3.4 and 5 plasmid with approximate molecular weights between 1.2 and 21.2 Kb. Salmonella spp showed profiles of 1 and 4 plasmids, while the profiles of Shigella spp revealed the presence of bigger I number of plasmids with smaller sizes. The plasmids of 21.2 Kb isolated in of ECEP, Salmonella spp and Shigella spp it could be used as epidemic marker of acute diarrhoeal disease in Colombia the EDA in Colombia.
