Abstract
The stages of the regional economic system development are studied. The features of diagnostics of the regional economic system functioning on the example of productive force subsystem are considered. The analysis of the dynamics of basic productive forces subsystem elements was conducted and basing on the obtained results the matrix of the indicated subsystem functioning diagnostics was built.
