THE APPROACHES TO THE USE OF SPATIAL DEVELOPMENT INDICATORS IN THE ANALYSIS AND FORECASTING OF SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN THE RUSSIAN SCIENCE

The article discusses approaches to using the spatial development indicators in the analysis and forecasting of social and economic development in Russia. In the article are giv- en the options of drawing up of integrated indicators and a classification of "problem" areas. It has been established that the task of regional policy is to maximize the reduction of the lev- el of inter-regional differentiation. It was found that problems of the spatial structure of the national economy and forecasts of socio-economic development at the level of the Russian Federation are described by mainly one indicator (gross regional product) with a minimum of another small circle indicators. The article describes the need to consider the system of indica- tors of regional development based on the achievements of the world's economic and best practices in this area
