STERLITAMAK’S SHIKHANS: IS IT UNIQUE NATURAL HERITAGE OR RAW?

Sterlitamak's shikhan is a huge natural heritage not only of Russian, but also all the world. They are unique in many aspects: the geological, botanical, zoological, archaeological, ethno-cultural. Unfortunately, manufacturers have destroyed one of the four shikhans and may soon destroy the others. The academic commu- nity of the Republic of Bashkortostan should form a clear position on this issue and to defend the preservation of shikhans.
