Abstract
Existing data on the orthostatic responses of heart rate (HR), their frequency, prevalence, etiological fac-tors, pathophysiological mechanisms, research methods and differential diagnosis are analyzed in this review. Certain types of orthostatic HR responses and their relationship to pathological states and use of different drug groups are studied. Methods for determining the orthostatic HR reactions, active and passive orthostatic tests, existing approaches to the correction of pathological types and prognosis are discussed.
