Uterine arterio venous malformation a rare cause of abnormal uterine bleeding

Uterine arterio venous malformation is a rare condition that results from formation of multiple arterio venous fistulous communications within the uterus without an intervening capillary network. It is reported in women aged 18-72 years. First case of uterine arterio venous malformation was reported in 1926 .Here we report a case of a 42 years old lady who presented with profuse bleeding per vaginum , was diagnosed to have uterine arterio venous malformation and successfully managed with uterine artery embolisation
