House Types and Facade Typology in Traditional Domestic Architecture of İzmir Kemeraltı // İzmir Kemeraltı Geleneksel Kent Dokusunda Konut Tipleri ve Cephe Tipolojisi

İzmir is a cosmopolitan city, where Muslim, Greek, Armenian, Jewish and Levantine (European) communities have been living together, has different examples in house architecture that are shaped by different religious and ethnic parts of social structure. In this study, the features of facades and ornamentations in Kemeraltı Houses are examined and categorized. Furthermore, the general evaluation of House Architecture in İzmir is made.]]] [[[TR= Müslüman, Yunan, Ermeni ve Yahudi gibi cemaatlerle birlikte Levanten denilen Avrupalıların birlikte yaşadığı kozmopolit bir kent olan İzmir'de, toplumun sosyal yapısı ve kültürü ile şekillenmiş çeşitli konut yapıları mevcuttur. Bu çalışmada İzmir Kemeraltı konutları cephe ve süsleme özellikleri ile değerlendirilerek farklı türler ve bu türlere ait çeşitli alt varyasyonlar oluşturulmuş, İzmir'in konut stoğu hakkında genel bir değerlendirme yapılmıştır.
