ECONOMIC NATIONALISM AND INCREASING PROTECTIONISM: POLITICAL ECONOMY OF PORTECTIONISM IN US AUTOMOTİVE INDUSTRY

Abstract
The sudden changes according to process of globalization since the beginning of 1990s have been affecting the trade ve economic policies. Free trade and liberal economy politics started to be questioned with the 2008 crisis. It was surprised for many researches who believe that protectionism and economic nationalism has been so long ago. Because most of them believe that free trade is the best trade system after post-war period. However, developments in the economic field has demonstrated once again that this is not an absolute right. In particular, 2008 crisis which is being big surprise has been very effective. Recovery of USA's automotive giants is a turning point. It shows that inquires about free trade will increase next years. In this study is conducted basis of sone reviews about this question.
