Abstract
This article analyzes the historiographical sources, which reveal relevant aspects of educational activities and educational heritage of outstanding teacher Vasyl Sukhomlynsky. It is established that the pedagogical concept of V. Sukhomlynsky is characterized by integrity and comprehensiveness, complete, verified system of life that has proven its effectiveness. It was formed on the basis of his teaching experience and was due to changes in political and ideological life.
The attention is focused on the research, in which on the analysis of many facts of life, scientific and educational activities of V. Sukhomlynsky his role as leader of humane pedagogy and consistent fighter against totalitarian and authoritarian pedagogy is revealed. Analysis of acquired research and systematization of the problem gained further development.
