Estudos de usuários da informação: comparação entre estudos de uso, de comportamento e de práticas a partir de uma pesquisa empírica

In this article we present the three approaches to information user studies: the use studies, studies of information behavior and studies of informational practices. After a brief presentation, we pass to the application of the categories of each one of them to an empirical research with users of a library of a home support for patients in medical treatment for a specific disease. In a didactic way, we search show which the contributions and limitations of each study perspective, concluding by the need and importance that all are studied and are part of the repertoire of researchers and professionals.
