Abstract
Development of national cinematography in Asian and African countries was threading a thorny path. Tashkent film festival was first opened fifteen years ago and new countries have been noted on the world's film map ever since. All festival participants stated that cinema had become the most important factor of cultural life in their countries. New characters, topics, genres, special stylistics mostly determined by national traditions of art and literature witnessed the restless search of filmmakers in those countries.
