IS THERE A PLACE FOR THE BRIDGE ON THE PEDESTAL? (KRASNOYARSK RAILWAY BRIDGE ACROSS THE YENISEI RIVER ? THE MONUMENT TO ENGINEERING SOLUTION)

In this article an assessment of architectural, engineering and historical value of the railway bridge across the Yenisei river built in the late 19th century in system of engineering constructions of the Trans-Siberian Railway is given. The features of bridge structure and technology of construction are considered. The information on a role of the design engineer L.D. Proskuryakov and the project manager E.K. Knorre is also given. The conclusion on the historical, architectural and engineering importance of this construction is drawn.
