Abstract
The goal of work ? to study the effectiveness of the algorithm of anesthesiologist actions during airway flow management in patients with the neck phlegmon. Materials and methods. We studied 75 pts. who were care under the surgical treatment of the neck phlegmon. The control group (n = 37) ? patients with the neck phlegmon, who carried under the statement order No181 24.03.2009., "The protocol of care for patients with neck phlegmon." The main group (n = 38) ? patients with neck phlegmon, who carried under proposed algorithm. Results. Proposed algorithm of anesthesiologist action during airway flow management in the intra- and postoperative period in surgical treatment of neck phlegmon reduced the absolute risk of death by 29% in comparison with pts. in the control group. Considering the data of the integral index of predictive efficiency (AUC = 0,75), the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm for the prediction of severe tracheal intubation was good. Conclusions. The algorithm of anesthesiologist actions of airway flow in pts. with neck phlegmon reduced the incidence of severe tracheal intubation from 51.4% to 7.9%, failed intubation from 19% to 0.3%, rate of deaths from 32,4% to 2.6%.
