Abstract
Tubercular splenic abscess is an uncommon entity in immunocompetent patients. It has been reported in association with immunodeficiency states. A 48-yearold male, immunocompetent, was diagnosed as having a tubercular splenic abscess. The aim of reporting this case is to stress the fact that tuberculosis should be considered as a differential diagnosis in all cases of splenic abscess in areas where tuberculosis is endemic
