Abstract
The article presents literature data based on the pleiotropic effects of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and demonstrated the results of their research on assessment of diclofenac, nimesulide and meloxicam on lipid metabolism, coagulation characteristics of blood, level of uric acid, liver function tests in patients with osteoarthritis, taking into account the presence of cardiovascular risk. It is shown that the most appropriate medication that could serve as a drug of choice in treating a specified group of patients is diclofenac-retard that has sufficient clinical effect and minor hypolipidemic and hypocoagulation action.
