Abstract
The given article deals with the discussion of the issue of impressionism as distinctive feature of Konstantin Balmont's style. The author gives the comparative analysis of many prosaic texts of the Russian symbolist and shows that impressionistic character of articles and essays by Balmont, unlike poetic works, can't be interpreted within the strategy of the image of momentary impressions of life. Mosaic style of K. Balmont's prose covers over the position to the literary process, which is long-standing and changeless during whole creative career. The author of this article addresses K. Balmont's book "Jan Kasprowicz. Poet of Polish Soul", which has not been earlier translated into Russian. Recreating the context of writing of this work by Balmont, the author introduces a number of the facts helping understand more deeply the Balmont's bond character with the association "Young Poland" into domestic literary criticism.
