Abstract
In the article the method of calculation of energy intensity of GDP, and examines its structure. The structure of electricity consumption in the first 11 months of the year 2016 compared to 11 months of 2015 and determined the proportion of the industrial sector, the industrial sector and losses in electricity in the total consumption. Describes the rating of Ukraine according to the level of efficiency of the economy among other countries. The factors preventing the reduction of energy intensity of Ukraine's GDP.
