Oleksiy Borisovich Shlyakhov: milestones biography (to the 60-anniversary from birthday)

It is shown that O. B. Shlyakhov refers to intellectuals in the third generation, punctuated by related educational and research traditions. Revealed its formation as a specialist in history from the faculty and as a young scientist in the graduate school of the Dnepropetrovsk state University. Special attention is given to research and teaching, professional growth from assistant to the doctor of historical Sciences, Professor, head of Department of Ukrainian history and ethnic policy of Oles Honchar Dnipropetrovsk National University. The article contains the analysis activities of the scientist-historian, the formation and evolution of his research interests, contribution to the development problems of socio-economic and socio-political history of Ukraine in the second half of XIX and early XX centuries, the structure of the common heritage of the scientist.
