The administrative staff of the research departments of pedagogy (1921-1929r.)

Managerial aspects of activities of the research departments of pedagogy and paedology of Institutes of Public Education in Ukraine during 1921-1929 have been shown in the article on the basis of studied historical and pedagogical literature, and archival materials. A brief overview of biographic data of heads of departments of pedagogy and paedology, their contribution to the development of psychological and pedagogical sciences has been given. The basic measures in activities of heads of the departments in restoring scientific potential of pedagogy, creating a network of higher pedagogical educational institutions, where the department system favoured effective formation of both secondary school teacher with the appropriate level of scientific knowledge, and a teacher of higher education, have been substantiated.
