Abstract

The criminological and psychological characteristic of patients is given by socially significant diseases of the condemned. These condemned differ from other categories condemned on social and demographic signs, in particular, on work before condemnation, to a residence. The signs revealed during research allow to allocate studied category as the most vulnerable in the criminogenic relation. At the same time it is possible to note that many personal features of patients condemned are caused by their way of life before imprisonment. The relation of some condemned to itself in many respects also predetermined emergence at them of a disease, namely: commitment to consumption of alcoholic beverages, drugs and psychotropic substances, lack of permanent job and aspiration to have a family. Not so much conditions of correctional facilities, how many the way of life of some patients condemned is one of the main reasons promoting their diseases.
