Abstract
The article outlines the life and activities of Academician N.P. Kravkov (1865- 1924), the founder of domestic pharmacology. During his 25 years of service as Head of the Department of Pharmacology at the Military Medical Academy in St. Petersburg, N.P. Kravkov became the founder of a large school of pharmacologist. He was the author of a number of fundamental discoveries enriching the Russian and the world science.
