Abstract
The purpose of the study was to identify the relationship between personal behavioral traits, such as alexithymia, the manifestations of mental rigidity and life orientations of patients with food addiction. As a result, were found the peculiarities of emotional reactions, uncritical thinking, specificity of life orientations of patients with food addiction, compared with the control group. Also recorded a higher level of rigidity from suffering from food addiction, which is manifested in the low readiness for flexible response and fear of change habitual behaviors. These studies can be used in the psychocorrection practice.
