Abstract
N the article is looking a peculiarity to expend a languages in the speaking young members and old generation Kharkiv province –nobility in the first half of XIX century, in the era is blossoming of country-seat culture. A members of Kharkiv nobility spoke in the different languages, such as Ukrainian, Russian and French, but young and old nobility spoke in many situation in the different languages. The expend of the Ukrainian language among old generation members of Kharkiv nobility is explaining their Cossacks origin and nostalgia about past era. The influence of the Russian language is explaining that because it was state language in the Russian empire and all over nobilities must know for success career in country or military service. Many nobles, such as young and old members knowed Russian. The knowledge of French among Kharkiv nobility was very important for every young men which wants to be a member public life.
