Abstract

Educational, psychological-didactic and methodological fundamentals for the development of integrated elective course for students of foreign language pedagogical higher educational institutions are considered in the article. Their methodological significance for organizing special training in methods of teaching languages for pre-service students to teaching primary school pupils a foreign language, in particular, English language and culture, in compliance with the “Bachelor” education and qualification level. The given course conceptual framework analysis allows to identify its content potential in fulfilling pre-requisites of systematic pre-service foreign language primary school students' competence in methods of teaching languages development, their ability and readiness for qualitative implementation of professionally important functions of their job in the light of current educational paradigm. The article investigates the ways of formation of readiness for qualitative implementation of a foreign language teacher' leading functions with a focus on the essence of cross-cultural paradigm as the ontology of modern language education The author's professional experience in this area validates the described developments.
