Abstract

Abstract : Pelvic actinomycosis is uncommon, accounting for only 3 percent of all actinomycotic infections(1). It usually represents a complication of intrauterine contraceptive device (IUCD) usage. Isolated ovarian actinomycosis in the absence of IUCD is very rare and only 2 cases have been reported in the literature (2). Here we present an interesting case of bilateral tubo ovarian actinomycosis in a non IUCD user. Keyword :Actinomycosis, Intrauterine contraceptive device, Tubo ovarian abscess
