Abstract
The present study was conducted to explore the job satisfaction and its relationship with personality traits of the employees working in public sector organization. The sample (N=380) consisted of respondents from Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Mathura (Uttar Pradesh, India). Subscribing to the requirements of conducting a systematic and scientific investigation, the present study was an attempt to find out the influence of personality traits on job satisfaction of IOCL Employees. The study includes the executives, engineers and supervisory level employees. An Attempt was also made to identify whether background variables like age and income status of the respondents were related to job satisfaction. A total of 15 null hypotheses (Accepted=6 and Rejected= 9) were formulated and each null hypothesis was empirically tested to meet the objectives of present research by means of t-test.
