Abstract
There is a critical need of manpower development in logistic sector, which is undergoing rapid evolution, both in terms of scale and scope of services, thanks to the healthy economic growth amply supported by robust Indian industry. The objective of this paper is to identify the root cause of the skills gap and to study variables that lead to skills gap in context to logistics sector. We analyze impact of independent variables on the “skill gap” in logistics sector in India, and empirically test the research model using confirmatory factor analysis.
