Abstract
This article deals with the legal basis for the antimonopoly regulation of M&A transactions in the Russian Federation. The author emphasizes the importance of centralized development and legislative consolidation of methods of economic analysis of the competitive environment. Several directions for improving the regulatory framework have been identified and justified.
