Abstract
This paper empirically investigates IT-Business alignment maturity to achieve the strategy to gain a competitive advantage among Japanese SMEs by using Luftman's “Strategy Alignment Maturity Model” (2000). Three hundred fifty four (354) Japanese firm-level data collected have been analyzed using structural equation modeling. These results will contribute to achieving competitive advantage for the Japanese SMEs by showing components related to IT-Business alignment maturity.
