Wireless Smart Trolley for Shopping Malls usingZIGBEE

ABSTRACT Shopping malls allow the customer to shop variety of products under one roof. Since there is no need for the customers to go to various shops to buy different products, shopping in malls helps in saving the shopping time. Because of this, many people have started shopping in malls making them more and more crowded. So besides this big advantage, there is a major disadvantage of long billing queues taking much longer time to bill the purchase products.At the billing counter the cashier prepares the bill using barcode reader which is very time consuming process and results in long queue at the billing counter.Therefore it becomes pointless to go to shopping malls in order to save time. In our proposed system, we discuss an innovative concept of smart shopping and billing. The idea of this system is to assist a person in everyday shopping in terms of reduced time spent while purchasing a product. The concept of our proposed work is to provide an automatic billing to avoid queue in malls and super markets. Keywords: ZIGBEE module, RFID tag, RFID reader, barcode reader.
