ІНФОРМАЦІЙНЕ СУСПІЛЬСТВО: ТРАНСФОРМАЦІЯ ПІДХОДІВ ДО ТРАКТУВАННЯ ПОНЯТТЯ

Objective. Research objective is a logical systematization of different approaches to «information society» term defining which will reveal the deeper essence of this concept, identify the main characteristics and trends of its transformation. Methods. Methods of comparison and analysis (for considering the society types evolution), general methods of knowledge, scientific abstraction and systematic approach (for disclosure of the global community current stage concepts) and systematizing theoret- ical generalization (for the general definition of "information society" formulating). Results. Critical analysys of main theoretical approaches to defining the term of «in- formation society» have been conducted, resulting in proposed definition, which takes into account the current stage of globalization, and as a the result will become a push for better disclosure of the nature, the main characteristics and trends of the modern type of society.
