The article regards the basic recommendations for scientific and pedagogical staff as to future navigators' social communicative competence. It aims to clear up the ways of development of social communicative competence during the Liberal Arts learning process. The following methodological approaches are emphasized as the most important ones: competency, personality oriented and pragmatist. The author underlines the necessity of the problem and contextual learning. The author covers the issue of dialogical communicative and a due managerial decision. The best way to mould the social communicative competence is the simulation of future profession situations including subject and sociocultural content. The next condition is readiness of scientific and pedagogical staff for social communicative competence formation, as the teacher's function is both tutorial and psychological.
