Waste rattan shavings and sawdust piled up and burned by the public. This research studied the utilization of waste rattan shavings and sawdust for particle board with urea formaldehida.as adhesive. Waste shavings rattan pieces with a length of 1 to 1.5 cm and mixed with sawdust. in a ratio of 100% and 0%; 75% and 25%; 50% and 50%; 25% and 75%; and 0% and 100%. Then added urea formaldehyde adhesive of 11% by weight of material. Hydraulically pressed particle board at a temperature of 110-120 0 C with a pressure of 15 kg / cm2 for 15 minutes. Each treatment was repeated 3 times.The results showed that the particle board is made from one type of raw material waste rattan shavings (100%) or sawdust (100%) produces mechanical physical properties qualify SNI. 03- 2105-2006, and better than using two mixed waste rattan shavings and sawdust .
